Notre mission / Our mission

Our mission

RX LAB is a specialized strength and conditioning service using training as a human development tool to act on the physical, mental, social and environmental aspect of sports performance. We work toward two broad domains :

Your training process : we analyze, build and guide your training
to help you achieve your performance, fitness and/or health goals.

Your education : we share informations about training, psychology,
nutrition, lifestyle and useful tips you can apply in your daily training.

Ultimately, our goal is to optimize the potential of each and every one of our members

Strength and conditioning services

Many specialists are required in the realization of a high level performance. In fact, the strength and conditioning coach holds a primary role; he or she is the head coach’s right arm. Going from performance and posture evaluation, to the elaboration and execution of training programs, his mission is to optimize your physical and mental potential so you can surpass the demands of your sport. We offer a specialized service for individual athletes and teams.

A – Strength and conditioning for sports

We offer a specialized service for individual athletes and teams which include :

  • Pre and post-season performance evaluation
  • Postural and dynamic biomechanical analyze
  • Training programs
  • Private or group training sessions
  • Training camps

Crossfit services

Crossfit is primarily an endurance sport where athletes have to show a high level of strength, power and agility. It is undoutably, one of the most complex training plan to elaborate, as every details have to be carefully chosen if you want to optimize your performance.

If you have never heard the fact « your game will always be as strong as your weaknesses », well the sport of Crossfit will let you know and fast! We believe that everyone has different needs and to see progress you need to adress your weakest link. This is the reason why we are not giving one overall program as a one size fit for all, but providing you many different programs with specific goals. Each program put a special emphasis on an aspect and doesn’t neglect the other important elements of your performance, which are : strength, power/olympic weightlifting, gymnastic, endurance, aerobic capacity, anaerobic thresold and agility.

 

B – Crossfit semi-personal training program :

These programs are oriented toward specific individual goals or group goals. They put a specific emphasis on one component of your training, depending also on your actual level (beginner, intermediate, competitive) : strength/power, velocity, gymnastic, weightlifting, masters category, competitive athlete, running

This service includes :

  • weekly training
  • pre and post-season performance evaluation
  • mobility/activation general program
  • access to the RX LAB blog.

We offer special rates for groups and for people coming from the same gym or CrossFit box.

$60+tx/month

 

C – Crossfit individualized coaching

This program is for Crossfit athletes looking to adress their very specific needs.

This service includes :

  • weekly training
  • pre and post-season performance evaluation
  • postural and dynamic biomechanical analyze
  • specific mobility/activation program
  • 2 skype meetings/month, and access to the RX LAB blog

D –  Programs for Crossfit boxes or training centers

This program is for training centers’ owners (gyms, CrossFit box, etc.) who are looking to get a more
elaborate structure in the training plans they use with their members.

This service includes :

  • 1 skype intro-meeting to elaborate the guidelines of your cycle
  • 1 skype meeting/month during the cycle to adjust the training
  • weekly training, pre and post-season performance evaluation
  • access to the RX LAB blog.

$125+tx/month for a 3 months cycle.

 

General training and lifestyle services

 

E – Training program and evaluation

We are specialized in :

Pre and post-natal : for all mom’s who wants to get in a better shape or to maintain your physical condition during or after your pregnancy.

Training 101 : for anybody who wants to take care of their health properly and start to train using functional training.

Muscular rehabilitation : for individuals who needs to adress their muscular or postural issues after their sports season or during/after an injury or  after an operation. Many athletes use these kind of programs before their general preparation training period to insure an appropriate muscular balance.

This service include :

  • One first meeting to talk about your goal, needs, lifestyles
  • Postural evaluation (100$+tx value)
  • Mobility and neuromuscular activation program
  • Personalized program
  • Follow up by email

150$+tx for a 4 week cycle including the evaluation (all following programs are 100+tx/4weeks)

 

F – Private Training

This service is for individuals who desire to improve their physical and cardiovascular conditions by using functional
training and/or Crossfit with adequate security and intensity. This service also addresses all athletes looking to develop their weightlifting and gymnastics techniques.

G – Nutrition

RXLAB naturopathic services to help

  1. Optimize your performances
  2. Reach your weightloss goals or gain in muscle mass
  3. Change your eating habits in the long run
  4. Increase your energy level

The nutrition consultant will assess your current life habits (nutrition, physical activities, environment, etc.) in order to exploit your full potential. Naturopathy and phytotherapy (herbal medicine) are the heart of this alternative medecine. According to your needs and goals, a personalized plan will be built to help you move towards your optimal condition.

  • $200.00 – First meeting includes one (1) hour consultation, evaluation of skinfolds (if necessary) and food and supplements protocol (if needed).
  • $100.00 – Personalized follow-up includes re-evaluation of needs and goals and protocol modification.
  • Insurance receipt for naturopathic services available
